The stove of consist of one or two openings through which fuel wood is fed and ash is removed, and two or three potholes, with raised lumps where pots can rest. Traditional cooking stove once used in every household in rural areas of Bhutan. It consumes a lot of fuel wood as well as a lot of time to cook what can be cooked in few minutes now. This traditional stove was used not only to cook but to keep the room warm as well during harsh winters. Most of them are replaced by electric cookers and LPG gas stove now since electricity is widely available in almost every nook and corner of Bhutan and almost every nook and corner are connected with roads.
